WICHITA, KS — For the second consecutive year, Ferroloy, Inc. has been honored by the American Foundry Society (AFS) with the Metalcasting Safe Year Award. This recognition is reserved for facilities that achieve 365 or more consecutive days of operation without a single lost-time injury or illness, highlighting Ferroloy’s sustained excellence in workplace safety.
The award was officially presented on October 8, 2025, at the AFS 37th Annual Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Conference held at the Heidel House in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Ryan Henderson, Vice President of Safety and Quality, accepted the award on behalf of the Ferroloy team.
Two Years of Safety Excellence
Achieving this milestone once is a significant accomplishment in the metalcasting industry; doing so for two years running underscores a deeply ingrained safety culture. This “back-to-back” achievement reflects the company’s rigorous safety protocols and the daily commitment of its employees to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
“To receive this award for the second year in a row is a monumental achievement for our team,” said Ryan Henderson. “It proves that our safety record isn’t just a streak of good luck—it is the result of intentional effort, constant vigilance, and a shared commitment by every person on our floor to look out for one another.”
Leadership in Industrial Safety
The AFS EHS Conference is a vital forum for manufacturing leaders to discuss evolving safety standards and environmental stewardship. By consistently meeting the criteria for the Safe Year Award, Ferroloy continues to position itself as a leader in the US manufacturing sector, demonstrating that high-volume production and employee safety can—and must—go hand-in-hand.
